I'm new at this...

Well the holidays are approaching quickly and we have way too much family to see and way to little time. It makes the holidays a little more stressful than I normally would have liked. We will be making two trips down the dreaded I-35 this month within one week so that we can please everyone :) At least for Thanksgiving we got to stay here and relax. We cooked a small dinner with Jacobs mom and then we got to go to the freezing cold Cowboys game. I have wanted to go to a Cowboys game on Thanksgiving since I can't even remember. I was a brainwashed Cowboys fan since I was a kid. Kinda like we are brainwashing our kids to be Aggies... and wow, what about that game last week!! Enough about football... it seems like that is all that we have talked about in my household the last few months... (thats because I am kicking butt in my fantasy league and I actually care about football this season)
Jacob and I have been through a lot over the past 6 months. It has been such a trying time in our lives and our marriage. We are trying to make our situation into a positive driving force in our relationship. We have both learned so much about ourselves and what we want out of life and our marriage. We are taking the steps necessary to be happy and successful. We want to thank all our family and friends who have never stopped believing in us or praying for us. We will always be grateful to those who stood by us during our darkest times and helped us through all this. On a lighter note, things are going well now... stay in tune to the blog to get our future updates. Maybe one day we will have an amazing testimony on how God can save a marriage...
Over our "separation" Jacob completed OCS (Officer Candidate School) and he is now a 2nd lieutenant in the Army National Guard. He now works at the armory in Irving by Texas Stadium with an engineering unit... Unfortunately his schools and training are far from over. He will be gone 2 weeks in February, 6 weeks in the Spring, and then another 12 weeks over the Summer... We have a long road ahead of us, but we can be grateful that he has not been deployed yet. We are all very proud of his hard work and what he has accomplished. He will make a great officer.
Anyway, I think this should get everyone up to date on us and our lives. So check back in the future. So long for now!
