Just thought I would give an update on my growing belly. My doctor was shocked this week when I had gained 10 pounds since my last appointment!! I mean it was 6 weeks in between appointments and prior to that I had only gained 1 pound. This little guy has all of the sudden decided to pop out! According to the babycenter.com website, he is right at 1 foot long and over a pound in weight. Kinda makes you wonder why I've gained 11 pounds right?? Anyway, everything is looking good. I go back for another sonogram on June 19th to make sure the placenta has moved up and it is not blocking the opening to the cervix. Keep us in your prayers!!
On another note, Jacob is gone again :( He was home for 5 days in between his two schools and now he is off to Missouri where he can't come home on the weekend. So sad... However, he asked me to come and stay with him there for the summer. This is one of the few schools that he has ever been to that I could go with him. So, he is checking into that possibility and in a few weeks, Trinity and I might be making a trek to Missouri. We will see if we can work out the details. Another thing... he is supposed to go to Sapper School (another 4 week school) after he graduates from this school on August 28th. This will put him home on the day AFTER my due date. Sapper school is optional and I have never made him feel bad for wanting to go. I realize that this may be his only opportunity to go, so I have kept my mouth shut. However, he told me today that he may not be able to go... bittersweet... I really don't want to spend the last month of my pregnancy alone, but I also want him to be happy. So, since he doesn't ever read my blog, I can express to you that I had a sigh of relief when he told me that...

Good luck Ms. Amanda - I know you have lots more life changes happening - when are you due by the way? I miss you - thanks for keeping us updated on here. I'll be keeping you and Jacob in my prayers - hope everything works out!
