Life on Post

Well, life on a military post is not all that bad. They really try to plan a lot of activities to take your mind off the fact that the nearest mall is 80 miles away. They have 3 pools, water sprinkler parks, lots of playgrounds, story time at the library, bowling alleys, and a movie theater. So, there is plenty to keep us busy. My only complaint is the size of the kitchen in this joint. Of course it is only made as a one person apartment, but it is ridiculous. Ohhhh... and the bugs!! The gnats are HORRIBLE! I take Trinity to the park thinking it would be fun and relaxing. I could read my book on the park bench in the shade... yeah right. I spend the whole time in a swarm of gnats around my head. I haven't seen the ticks here yet, but supposedly they are everywhere. My friends kid gets them on her ankles just walking across her front yard. Gross!

Trinity and I have made some friends. One of the guys in Jacob's class moved his family here and they are just really fun. So, Trinity has friends to play with and I have someone to spend my daytime with. It is making the time go. Poor girl though... she wishes I was here for the whole summer.

Garrett flies in tonight and Jacob's dad will drive him here tomorrow morning from Kansas City. I am hoping to have some fun activities planned for while he is here. Thank goodness next week is only a 3 day workweek for Jacob. Here are some pics of Trinity and her little friends so far.
