I did something impulsive the other day. But, thankfully, I have not regretted it yet. I went online to check out the Texas A&M Football Schedule and came across a link for "discounted season tickets." Jacob and I have talked about doing this for the past 5 years, so it peaked my interest. I clicked the link thinking that there was no way I was going to be able to afford this, and low and behold, I COULD!! So, we bought two tickets to all the home games this year. Now, I am SO excited about the upcoming football season.
I am not usually a big sports fan, but I fell in love with football when I was in high school. I guess that's what happens when you have a high school football team who is actually good. Anywho, I then went on to the wonderful Aggieland (who have not had a great football team the past several years, but I LOVE to watch). All this on top of the fact that I was raised a Dallas Cowboys fan from the time I was a child. That is one of the reasons that Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday. I always loved stuffing my face will all my favorite food and then curling up next to my dad to fall asleep to the Cowboys game.
So, needless to say, this time of year brings on great memories and I can't wait to make more of them this year at all the Aggie games.
I am sad that I won't get to go to the first game this weekend because Jacob is driving home from Missouri that day, but we got to share our tickets with our very dear friends Tim and Danielle. I am hoping that their first trip to Aggieland is a great one!
Oh, and by the way, expect a lot of posts about my fantasy football team this year. sorry to bug you if that topic bores you, but last year I kicked butt... until the playoffs... Thank you Tom Brady.
