We started off at the Corpus Christi Hooks baseball game Friday night. Jacob got to swear in some new soldiers before the game, so we got to go hang out. It was fun, but the kids lost interest fast! SO, we went home to get some rest before a LONG saturday.
My sister and her family came into town. She was running with some friends in the Beach to Bay Marathon which is a team marathon. A few runners dropped out in the last minute so Jacob got up to go fill in on their team.
Then off to the beach. We got Garrett as skim board for his birthday. For those of you who don't know what that is (because I didn't before we moved here), it is a thin wooden board about the size of a boogie board. You slide it across the shallow surf of the water and you jump on and skim across the water. If you have balance, you don't eat the sand!! If you are old like me, you eat it hard and make your knee swell up. Fortunately, I was the only person with injuries. Well, we had a fun time at the beach with friends and family. Here are few pictures.
Gavin, covered in sand. He wouldn't quit eating it!

After the beach we had the Schaded's over along with my sisters family. We grilled hamburgers and had birthday cake for Garrett. It was a fun night. We ended our weekend with church on Sunday and baby dedication. At 8 months, we finally got to dedicate Gavin to the Lord formally. We were glad to have all our family there.

Fun! Looks like you guys are enjoying things there. How do you like the church you go to? Thanks for sharing the pics.
Ok, so I have to admit that I was a little jealous that ya'll got to hang out at the beach and have all that fun. :( Living so far away is hard. I really miss ya'll.
